Frequently Asked Questions: Plan Your Perfect Roman Adventure

How do I book a tour and what payment methods are accepted?

You can reserve a tour right on our website by choosing your dates and completing the online checkout. We accept secure online payment via PayPal and all major credit/debit cards. If you need help booking or have questions, just contact us – for example, email [email protected] or call +1 347-797-6745

We offer flexible cancellation: most tours allow a full refund if you cancel well in advance. For example, cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour receive a full refund, but cancellations within 24 hours (or no-shows) are non-refundable. Some multi-day tours may allow cancellations up to 1–2 days before the start (check each tour’s terms).

Our tours are available in multiple languages. Guides speak English and many other languages (for example, Español, Farsi, Français, German, Italiano, Russian, etc.). When you book, you can select the language that best suits your group.

We keep groups small for a personal experience. For example, our “Best of Rome” 2-day tour is limited to just 3 people, while our golf-cart city tour seats up to 6 people. In general, private tours often have 2–6 guests so you enjoy one-on-one attention from your guide.

That depends on the tour, but we cover Rome’s highlights. For instance, the 2-day VIP Rome tour visits iconic landmarks like the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Castel Sant’Angelo on day 1, and on day 2 it includes the ancient Appian Way, early Christian Catacombs, and a guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We also offer dedicated Vatican tours (with the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel) and other custom itineraries.

Yes – most tours include free pickup and drop-off at your hotel or a central meeting point in Rome. We provide comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles (like vans or minivans) for most tours and even eco-friendly golf carts on special routes. Each tour is led by a professional, English-speaking driver/guide, so you can relax knowing you’ll be transported safely and conveniently.

Absolutely. Our tours are family-friendly and children of all ages can join. When booking you can specify the number of children and infants. For example, the booking form has fields for “Children (under 18)” and “Infants (under 3)”. Infants under 3 usually go free, and children under 18 are counted in the group size. Let us know ages when you book – we’ll accommodate families and apply any child rates if available.

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy walking shoes – our tours involve a fair bit of walking over cobblestones and steps. If the tour visits churches or the Vatican, please dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees) out of respect for religious sites. We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat and water bottle on hot days, and perhaps a light jacket if it could be cool. Don’t forget your camera or phone for photos! (We handle all tickets and skip-the-line entry, so you don’t need to worry about that.)

Yes – safety and comfort are our priorities. All tours are led by experienced local guides and drivers who know the city well. Vehicles and equipment are kept in top condition, and group sizes are small so guides can look after everyone. We also fully brief you on any precautions (for example, watch your belongings in crowded areas). In short, whether you’re traveling with kids or seniors, you can feel secure on our tours.

To avoid the crowds and midday heat, early-morning or late-afternoon tours are ideal. Spring (April–June) and fall (September–October) usually have the nicest weather and smaller tourist crowds in Rome. Summer can be very busy and hot, but don’t worry – we arrange skip-the-line access at popular sites (like the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum) to help you save time even during peak season.
